DO I HAVE TO MOVE OUT WHILE WORKS ARE COMPLETED?
No. This is an entirely personal decision and AIM will provide you with the information required to make the right decision for you. In the past, we have set up temporary kitchens and bathrooms when required and will always go the extra mile to ensure minimal impact on our client’s day to day lives.
WILL I RECEIVED A DETAILED FIXED QUOTATION?
Yes, detailed quotations are provided and are fixed based on the scope of works specified within the quotation. It should be noted that scope may be estimated in some cases information is not available upfront. This will be detailed in your quotation.
ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN COSTS?
Absolutely not. AIM is upfront and honest with our pricing. In addition to our fully itemised quotation, details of possible unforeseen costs are provided, along with estimated costs for works that AIM has not been instructed to complete in order to assist with our client’s overall budgeting.
DO YOU OFFER ANY WORKS GUARANTEES
AIM works with an independent broker to offer our clients full insurance backed guarantees tailored to their project and requirements.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN OPERATING?
AIM has been trading as a Limited business since 1999. Each member of our team provide their unique skills with years of experience.
CAN I VIEW PREVIOUS PROJECTS AIM HAS COMPLETED AND SPEAK TO PAST CLIENTS?
Yes of course. Following quotation, AIM will provide references for you to contact directly and invite you to view similar projects we have completed. You will also be invited to a current project site to meet the team and get a feel for how we work.
ARE YOU VAT REGISTERED?
Yes, AIM is VAT registered.
DO YOU HAVE RELEVANT INSURANCES?
Yes, we have full public liability insurance and employer’s insurance and all additional insurances covering stock, equipment, injury and legal expenses. We are insured up to £10,000,000 and certificates will be provided upon request.
DO YOU TAKE DEPOSIT?
In general, no. We believe in establishing trusting relationships. However, there may be occasions when a deposit is required and these will be discussed on a case by case basis.
HOW ARE PAYMENT INSTALMENTS CALCULATED AND WILL YOU PROVIDE A PAYMENT SCHEDULE UPFRONT?
In general, payment amounts are calculated on a pre-agreed periodic basis, based on works already competed and materials purchased. An example of this payment schedule along with estimated instalments and dates will be provided upfront along with quotation. Alternative payment methods and terms may be discussed and agreed upfront based on alternative client requirements.
DOES QUOTE INCLUDES SUPPLY OF MATERIALS?
Yes. We know the most cost effective and highest quality materials to use and have negotiated discounts with our regular suppliers. Builders should always supply their own materials in order for these to be covered under works guarantees.
WILL ALL PAYMENTS BE MADE DIRECTLY TO AIM?
Yes. When selecting a builder you should confirm upfront that all labour and materials costs are paid directly to the contractor. If not, this could indicate underhand dealings.
DO YOU HAVE A WORKS CONTRACT/AGREEMENT?
Yes. An example contract agreement will be provided with your initial quotation for review and can be amended based on client specific requirements ahead of signature.
